Latrice Smith

Latrice Smith is an innovative and equity-driven Louisiana special education leader currently serving Director of Exceptional Student Services (ESS) for East Feliciana Public Schools. Under her leadership, the East Feliciana Public Schools ESS Department has increased access to resources and opportunities to students with disabilities. Through partnerships and competitive grants, her department has developed pathways to high school diplomas and career opportunities for students with disabilities and provided intensive services to students with low incidence disabilities. Ms. Smith has earned a Bachelor of Science in child development, a Master of Education in special education, and an additional 30 graduate hours in administration and supervision from Southern University and Agricultural Mechanical College. Committed to community service, she is a lifetime member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated and serves as treasurer of the Louisiana Association of Special Education Administrators, where she previously represented Region II on the Board of Directors.
