Dr. Sandra T. Elliott is an internationally recognized education expert and advocate with over 4 decades of experience transforming learning outcomes for students worldwide. Her passion for inclusive education began as a special education teacher and evolved through leadership roles as a five-time school principal in Florida and Colorado, district administrator, and state level consultant. Her executive experience spans K-12 education, for-profit education providers and foundations, bringing a comprehensive perspective to educational innovation She has made significant contributions to groundbreaking initiatives such as the Edison Project and the Engage NY- Eureka math project, and spearheaded the development of the DySc, a pioneering free dyscalculia screening tool accessible to all. Her expertise in mathematics instruction for struggling learners and dyscalculia has made her a sought-after speaker at national and international conferences. Dr. Elliott is also a member of the UNESCO sponsored EDUsummIT where she collaborates with international experts to develop education policy recommendations for the United Nations. A published author on dyscalculia; Sum Thing Is Up: A Practical Guide to Dyscalculia; Dr. Elliott continues to champion inclusive education, advocating for learners facing both temporary mathematical challenges and persistent conditions. Her work embodies the belief that every student deserves access to effective mathematical instruction tailored to their unique learning needs.
