Jennifer Diliberto is a clinical associate professor of special education and literacy in the School of Education at the University of North Carolina, 100 East Cameron Ave - Campus Box #3500 - Chapel Hill, NC 27599-3500, USA. Email: jdil@email.unc.edu; Her teaching, service, and research aims to create equitable and accessible communities to support individuals with disabilities throughout our society. She has presents and publishes on topics related to specially designed instruction, high-leverage practice for students with disabilities, literacy, and the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process. Her collaborative work with state and local education agencies surrounds preparing inclusive educators through pre-service program development and in-service professional development. Additionally, she is the author of a researched supplemental curriculum, Taking on Tough Words published by Attainment Company, that integrates phonics rules and word recognition skills to explicitly teach students from upper elementary through adolescents how to decoding and encode multisyllabic words.
