Abby Cypher

Abby Cypher serves as the Executive Director of the Michigan Association of Administrators of Special Education (MAASE), where she leads initiatives that advance special education practice and support educators across Michigan. With over two decades of experience in educational leadership, Abby brings a background in staff development, educational leadership, and government relations, along with her certification as a Certified Association Executive (CAE). In addition to her role at MAASE, Abby is the founder of AIM (All Individuals Matter), an organization dedicated to supporting and empowering individuals through inclusive educational practices. Her prior experience includes consulting with Karoub Associates, where she provided legislative insights for the ESA Legislative Group, and leading special services and capacity-building programs within several Michigan school districts. Abby holds a Specialist degree in School Psychology from Central Michigan University, along with certifications in special education leadership. Abby is widely respected for her ability to foster strategic partnerships, develop leadership in special education, and advocate for policies that enhance learning outcomes. Her work embodies a commitment to equity, well-being, and sustainable progress for students, educators, and the broader education community in Michigan.
