Irma Brasseur-Hock
Teaching Professor
The University of Kansas Special Education Department
Dr Brasseur-Hock is a teaching professor for the Master's Program for Online High Incidence Disabilities in the KU Dept. of Special Education. She has extensive experience as a classroom teacher and is highly regarded for her curriculum development and adaptation skills. Dr. Brasseur-Hock has served as Co-PI or project manager on an IES reading intervention development grant, a Striving Readers efficacy study, a teacher quality development grant, and an IES measurement grant. She was one of the primary authors of Fusion Reading with Dr. Hock, who was the primary lead in the development, implementation, professional development, and instructional coaching of the The Fusion Reading program published by McGraw-Hill Education. Dr. Brasseur-Hock has published in the Journal of Learning Disabilities, Journal of Staff Development, Journal of Psychology and Education, Learning Disability Quarterly, and Teaching Exceptional Children.
