Brett Baker served as the Inspector General of the National Archives and Records Administration from 2021 until his retirement in 2025.  He was also dual hatted as the Acting Inspector General for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission during 2023-2024.  He was also the Audit Committee Chair for the Council of Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency during 2024-2025. He has been a public speaker in 175 national conferences on financial statements, contracts, grants, data analytics, investigations, and cybersecurity. He is the recipient of a Meritorious Presidential Rank Award (2021), AGA Elmer Staats Award (2021), and JFMIP Donald L. Scantlebury Memorial Award (2016).
