Andrew Cannarsa serves as the Executive Director of the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE). In this role, Mr. Cannarsa provides executive leadership and management of CIGIE’s operational staff, and he works with the CIGIE Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, and Executive Council to ensure CIGIE carries out its statutory requirements and aligns with the priorities of the Federal inspector general community. Mr. Cannarsa has served in the Federal inspector general community since 2009, having previously served with the Social Security Administration Office of the Inspector General. Mr. Cannarsa was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in 2021. Mr. Cannarsa holds a Master of Public Administration and Policy from American University.
