Michael Pritchard is the Assistant Inspector General for Investigations at the AmeriCorps Office of Inspector General (OIG), where he leads a team of Special Agents responsible for the prevention and detection of fraud, waste, and abuse in AmeriCorps programs and operations. He joined AmeriCorps OIG in 2021 after 13 years with the National Science Foundation (NSF) OIG. At NSF OIG he conducted investigations related to NSF grants, with a focus on small business research grant fraud. He earned a B.S. in Information Systems and Finance from Salisbury University in 2002, an MBA from James Madison University in 2023, and is a Certified Fraud Examiner.
