Khalid Hamidi is the Risk and Internal Control Administrator (RICA) for the Defense Logistics Agency – Logistics Operations (J3). He has developed and manages the risk management and internal control (RMIC) program for Logistics Operations, to include business cycles Plan to Stock, Order to Cash, and Excess to Disposal which impacts DLA’s financial statements. The RMIC Program includes documenting DLA end-to-end business processes, assessing risk, testing of key internal controls, self-identifying deficiencies, and developing remediation strategies over set control gaps. The further advancing of the J3 RMIC Program will enable DLA to reach an unmodified annual Statement of Assurance while also working toward an unmodified financial statement audit opinion. Mr. Hamidi’s audit expertise is often sought after to assist other parts of the DLA Enterprise to develop successful processes to address their internal material weaknesses and deficiencies. Prior to coming to DLA J3, Mr. Hamidi served as the Chief of the Auditability and Sustainment Office for DLA Energy and a Supervisory Auditor for the Defense Contract Audit Agency.
