Ms. Haaz serves as Inspector General for Vendor Integrity at the New York City Department of Investigation. In this role, she oversees a unit includes DOI's Integrity Monitor Program and is responsible for protecting the City’s interests – particularly in large-scale, capital-intensive projects, contracts, and in the broader procurement space. DOI’s Integrity Monitor Program permits the City to enter into or continue contracts with companies that might otherwise be precluded from doing business with the City because of identified integrity issues. The Program also proactively oversees certain large-scale City projects, such as the Asylum Seeker Initiative and the Borough-Based Jails program, to help identify red flags and protect tax dollars from waste and fraud.
