Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board
Wayne Dunbar is the Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Control Division Chief, in the Office of Planning and Risk at the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB), where he plays a key leadership role in advancing the agency’s mission to administer the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) for federal employees and uniformed service members. The Division is also currently responsible for conducting agency Fraud Risk Assessment, Payment Integrity Risk and Control evaluations, and full life cycle management of agency policy and procedures administration. Based in Washington, D.C., Wayne brings over a decade of federal service experience, marked by a steady progression through roles of increasing responsibility. Over the years, Wayne has contributed to advancing and maturing the Division’s ERM and Internal Control programs with the team being recently recognized as one of the three winners of the 2024 RIMS Global ERM Award of Distinction. Prior to federal services, Wayne held several leadership positions including Improper Payments subject matter expert with E&Y consulting, and financial accounting operations manager at several firms including Booz Allen.
