LCDR Howe, a native of Boerne, Texas, commissioned via NROTC at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee in May 2016, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering Science. LCDR Howe has served in numerous afloat and staff billets, including Littoral Combat Ships, Mine Counter Measures Ships, Amphibious Squadrons, and Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadrons. In October of 2024, he activated as a Reservist to support Commander, Naval Surface Forces in Robotic and Autonomous Systems (RAS) introduction as part of the N9. In his current role as UxS Integration Officer, Assessment and Readiness (N9), he supports fleet introduction and force design efforts. LCDR Howe has been awarded the Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, multiple unit and campaign medals, and the Small Craft Pin.
