As a Principal Architect for Google Public Sector, Kelly Jones is dedicated to bridging the gap between cutting-edge industry technology and the unique operational demands of the afloat environment. She currently guides the U.S. Navy’s strategic adoption of Google Cloud and AI, focusing on infrastructure modernization and the integration of AI/ML to enhance mission readiness across the Fleet. Her mission is to empower data-driven decision-making through secure, scalable cloud solutions that solve complex tactical challenges. Prior to Google, she spent over a decade leading architecture and engineering for the Cisco U.S. Navy Shipboard Team, where she spearheaded modernization initiatives for critical systems like CANES, ADNS, and Combat Systems. Her background also includes delivering wide-area network designs for NIWC LANT and leading Fleet Network Operations Centers (FLTNOCs) in Bahrain and Naples. A U.S. Navy Veteran and former Cryptologic Technician, Maintenance (CTM), Kelly brings a hands-on, operational perspective to every technical challenge. She is certified in Security and DevSecOps, with a passion for building resilient, future-ready systems for those who serve.
