Tremayne Cobb serves as the FAA’s Director of Financial Management, leading the agency’s accounting, capitalized property, travel, and financial reporting divisions. He drives enterprise-wide financial operations, ensures compliance across all programs, and oversees the financial systems that enable the FAA’s mission. As the agency’s chief steward for the annual financial statements audit, he guides the FAA’s audit strategy and strengthens internal controls across the enterprise. Tremayne is a recognized leader in modernization and data-driven transformation. He has spearheaded multiple enterprise upgrades, including major enhancements to FAA travel systems, expansion of financial analytics capabilities, and development of interactive dashboards that increase transparency for executives and FAA/DOT leadership. His contributions play a central role in supporting strategic decision-making for the FAA, including the historic funding that is shaping long-term agency investments in the Brand-New Air Traffic Control System. He also established the FAA’s first Property Accountability Board, chartering a nationwide approach to improve oversight and stewardship of the agency’s capitalized assets. Prior to joining the FAA, Tremayne served at the U.S. Department of Education, where he was a lead analyst for modernizing federal grant and payment systems.
