Alee Long is the Defense Information Systems Agency’s Hosting and Compute Directorate (J-9) Program Manager for the Joint Warfighting Cloud Capability contract in the, a $9 billion initiative delivering a first-of-its-kind multi-vendor enterprise cloud solution for the Department of War. In this role, Long oversees a $400 million program management office and leads a 50-person cross-functional team. She established the JWCC Next Integrated Product Team to spearhead the department’s follow-on acquisition strategy to JWCC. With deep expertise in financial transparency and accountability, long currently leads the development and implementation of a robust Finops reporting process for the JWCC program. Before her current role, long was the Deputy Program Manager and the first Acquisition Lead for the JWCC contract. She established the Acquisition team and ensured it was positioned to deliver contract oversight and support for each Cloud Service Provider. Her previous roles include Requirements Control Section Chief and Contracting Officer’s Representative at DISA, as well as earlier civil service as a Contract Specialist and Procurement Analyst with the U.S. Army. Long has received several accolades for her contributions, including the 2023 Dianne McCoy Award for Excellence in Acquisition and the 2023 Department of Defense Chief Information Officer Award. In 2025, she was nominated for the DefenseScoop 50 Awards: Most Inspiring Up & Comer, and was a finalist for the Rising Star of the Federal Information Technology Efficiency Flywheel Awards from GovCIO Media & Research. Long is a graduate of Shippensburg University with bachelors’ in international management and marketing. She also has a master’s in business administration from Frostburg State University.
