The Honorable Karen Jackson is a recognized technology and innovation strategist with experience spanning government, emerging technologies, and public policy. As Virginia’s former Secretary of Technology, she led statewide initiatives focused on cybersecurity, IT modernization, autonomy, and technology policy and governance. Today, as Founder and CEO of Apogee Strategic Partners, she advises public and private sector organizations on AI strategy, cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, and innovation policy, with a particular interest in AI governance and the responsible integration of emerging technologies. Jackson also serves as a Senior Fellow with the Commonwealth Center for Advanced Logistics Systems (CCALS), where she supports initiatives related to autonomous systems, AI-enabled logistics, energy innovation, and workforce development. She holds an MBA from William and Mary and has completed executive education programs in cyber security at the Harvard Kennedy School and in AI strategy at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
