Defense Security Cooperation Agency
John Wilson has been an Infrastructure Architect at the Defense Security Cooperation Agency since March 2020. In this role, he spearheads infrastructure modernization initiatives by designing, building, and implementing the organization's secure cloud architecture. Wilson is dedicated to achieving IT service excellence through the research and implementation of innovative technology solutions. His efforts are specifically focused on reducing operational variance, streamlining agency workflows, and driving cost efficiencies across the enterprise. Wilson initially joined DSCA as a DOD contractor in 2017, focusing on system administration, before transitioning to federal civil service in 2020. Prior to his time at DSCA, he served as a technology expert across county government, higher education, and the retail sector. With over 20 years of experience, Wilson possesses strong technical and subject matter expertise in software development, infrastructure optimization, networking, and cybersecurity. He also dedicated five years to educating associate-level students as a computer science instructor. Wilson has a master’s in computer science from Shippensburg University and a bachelor’s of computer science from Mansfield University.
