Jeff Andrews
President & GM
Hendrick Motorsports

In May 2022, Jeff Andrews was named president and general manager of 15-time NASCAR Cup Series champions Hendrick Motorsports, where he has served in a variety of roles for more than 30 years. He is responsible for the day-to-day management of the organization and all its business units, including competition, engine operations, manufacturing, marketing and administration. Andrews was elevated from his previous role as executive vice president and general manager in which he served as Hendrick Motorsports’ senior competition leader supporting its crew chiefs and teams vying for wins at stock car racing’s highest level. He oversaw all competition-related departments, including powertrain, manufacturing and racing operations. A native of Fresno, California, Andrews began working in the Hendrick Motorsports engine department in January 1992. He was soon supporting NASCAR Hall of Fame driver Terry Labonte who won a Cup Series championship in 1996 with Andrews-built engines under the hood. His previous roles at Hendrick Motorsports have included engine assembly manager, director of engine assembly, engine program director, director of engine operations and vice president of competition. As a young man, Andrews worked with his father, Bob Andrews, who owned a successful engine-building business that supplied horsepower to many West Coast open-wheel teams. He later moved to Adrian, Michigan, to work for Shierson Racing’s INDYCAR operation before joining Penske Racing, where in 1991 he helped assemble the engine that powered Rick Mears to victory in the Indianapolis 500. When he’s not at the racetrack, Andrews lives in Cornelius, North Carolina, with his wife and daughter.
