August Lorenzen, PE, is a Design Engineer III at Steffes and served as the engineering lead for the development of the Steffes Emissions Reduction Unit (ERU), a breakthrough technology designed to minimize routine flaring and improve environmental performance at oil and gas production sites. In this role, he led the effort to validate the original concept, engineer a repeatable and economical design, and transition the system from prototype to a scalable commercial product. Lorenzen has experience in production facility design, injection and disposal systems, and upstream operations, and holds degrees in Petroleum Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer.
