Christy Woodward

Christy Woodward is the Chief of Staff, EPA Region 8. She comes with a wealth of experience, including 25 years in regulatory policy and advocacy as well as technical experience in civil and environmental engineering design and project management. She has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from Northern Arizona University, in her hometown of Flagstaff, Arizona. She moved to Colorado in 2000 to obtain her Masters of Science and Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, and she obtained her Colorado Professional Engineering License in 2006. Christy has held many key roles to include environmental consulting, mining sector permitting, working in the oil and gas industry in five different U.S. basins, before transitioning to serve as the Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs for the Colorado Oil & Gas Association. Last year, she chartered a new business called Astute Regulatory Solutions, where she served as a regulatory advisor for several companies including the Colorado Chamber of Commerce. Christy lives in Golden with her husband, a small business owner, and their two spirited kids who keep things entertaining.
