Jim Hughs is a seasoned Chemical Engineer with an extensive career spanning engineering, operations, safety, and planning disciplines. He has spent the past 15 years with ConocoPhillips, where he currently serves as an Instrument and Electrical Planning Specialist. Before joining ConocoPhillips, Jim spent four years teaching at Montana State University, preceded by a distinguished 29?year tenure with ExxonMobil in its Engineering, Environmental, and Operations Divisions. Jim holds multiple academic degrees, including a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Eastern Montana College, a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alabama, and a Master of Education from Montana State University. He previously served as Co?Chairman of the North Dakota Petroleum Council (NDPC) Technical Solutions Group and remains an active member of the NDPC Regulatory Committee.
