Nathan Wilkins

Nathan D. Wilkens is a geoscientist with expertise in sedimentology, paleontology, and geochemistry.  Nathan attended the University of North Dakota from 1990-1995, studying geology and space studies, then finished his undergraduate studies at Arizona State University.  He completed a PhD in 2008 on Jurassic paleoecology of eolian interdune deposits. In 2010 Nathan was hired by the Shell Oil Company in Houston TX where he was a development and exploration geologist for unconventional plays in Louisiana and west Texas and the conventional deepwater Mesozoic in the Gulf of America.  In 2025 Nathan left Shell and joined the North Dakota Geological Survey.
