Yash Nilesh Dasri

Yash Nilesh Dasri is a software developer and cybersecurity researcher with experience spanning backend engineering, DevOps automation, SOC operations, and AI security research. He is a graduate student in Computer and Information Science at the University of South Carolina Aiken, where he maintains a 4.0 GPA and was recognized on the Dean's List during his undergraduate studies. His research focuses on the intersection of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, with work covering AI/ML-driven cybersecurity risk assessment, smart grid security and anomaly detection, blockchain and supply chain integrity, and large language model vulnerability analysis. His paper on security vulnerabilities in ChatGPT through multi-technique evaluation of jailbreak resilience and defensive measures was published at IEEE ICCA 2024, and he participated as a researcher at the IEEE ISDFS 2026 International Conference, with six additional manuscripts currently in preparation. Alongside his research, Yash has gained applied industry experience as a Software Developer and DevOps Intern at YUBI in Mumbai, India, where he developed Spring Boot–based microservices and RESTful APIs, supported Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, and managed containerized workloads via Kubernetes and Rancher. At the University of South Carolina Aiken, he serves as a Cyberlab and Teaching Assistant, mentoring senior capstone teams on backend architecture and secure coding practices, and previously contributed to campus SOC operations through log analysis, incident triage, vulnerability assessments, and threat modeling.
