Anthony Sambrano is a Computer Science student with a concentration in Cyber Security at the University of South Carolina Aiken. His academic interests include cybersecurity, network defense, machine learning, and cyber-physical systems. As part of his senior capstone project, he contributed to the design and development of a smart grid cybersecurity testbed used to simulate cyberattacks and generate telemetry for intrusion detection research. His work involved attack simulation, data collection, MQTT-based communications, and the evaluation of machine learning techniques for detecting malicious activity in critical infrastructure environments. Through both academic projects and practical security operations experience, he has developed a strong foundation in cybersecurity analysis, system monitoring, and emerging technologies for infrastructure protection.
