Honorary Consul of Finland
State of Georgia


Kari Lindberg is the recently appointed Honorary Consul of Finland in the State of Georgia. He has been the Board Member of Finnish American Chamber of Commerce Southeast (FACCSE) since 2010. Kari Lindberg retired from Valmet, Inc. North America with over 30 years experience in North American market. He was the Sr. Vice President of the Services business for Valmet's North American area organization since 2014 until his retirement in 2025. He held diverse executive positions between 2000 and 2014 within Metso Paper’s (current Valmet) North American operations in Charlotte NC and Atlanta GA. From 1992 to 2000 he held various general sales and technology management positions at Valmet, Inc. Enerdry Division in Knoxville TN. Prior 1992, he worked in different positions at Valmet-Ahlstrom Corporation (former Ahlstrom) and Valmet-Tampella Corporation (former Tampella Papertech) in Finland since 1984. Kari Lindberg holds a Master of Science degree in Engineering from University of Oulu, Finland. He holds dual citizenship of USA and Finland. Kari lives in Atlanta greater area with his spouse, Jaana. They have four adult sons and six grandchildren. Kari and Jaana are active in pickle ball and enjoy outdoors activities like hiking and golf.
