CPT Euihyung Jung was born and raised in the Republic of Korea. His military career began as an infantryman in the Korean Army, where he served for two years, later joining the U.S. Army as a Medical Logistics Specialist. He was commissioned into the Cyber Branch through the Green to Gold Program upon graduating from Texas A&M University - Central Texas. His military education includes the Medical Logistics Specialist Course (Dean’s List), ROTC (Distinguished Military Graduate), the Cyber Basic Officer Leader Course (Distinguished Honor Graduate), and the Cyber Captain Career Course (Honor Graduate). CPT Jung currently serves as a Cyber Instructor at the U.S. Army Cyber School at Fort Gordon, Georgia. Throughout his career, CPT Jung has served in the following assignments: Executive Officer, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 780th Military Intelligence Brigade (Cyber), Fort Meade, Maryland; Section Leader, Mission Commander, Cyber Planner, and Exploitation Analyst, 101 Combat Mission Team, Fort Meade, Maryland; Cyber Planner, Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) CJ39, Kuwait/Iraq; and Brigade Assistant S3, 780th Military Intelligence Brigade (Cyber). CPT Jung holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems and a Master of Science in Information Technology from Texas A&M University - Central Texas. His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal with “R” Device (six awards), Army Achievement Medal (nine awards), Operation Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award (two awards), Army Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Superior Unit Award, Basic Parachutist Badge, and the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Forces Badge.
