Brigadier General Christine V. Rummel assumed duties as the Director of Strategic Operations, G3/5/7 on June 5, 2026, following her assignment as the J6 / Director of Cyberspace for NORAD and USNORTHCOM. Commissioned into the Army Signal Corps in 1992 from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, her early active-duty career included assignments in Darmstadt, Germany, as an MSE Platoon Leader, Battalion S-1, and Company XO within the 32d Signal Battalion, followed by service as the Brigade Signal Officer for the 16th MP Brigade (Airborne) at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Upon transitioning to the U.S. Army Reserve, BG Rummel held key leadership positions, including Battalion Commander of the 4th BN, 415th Regiment (SROTC), Brigade Commander of the 5th BDE (Signal), and G6 for both USACAPOC (Airborne) and the 108th Training Command (IET). She also served as the Deputy Commanding General / Mobilization Assistant to the Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER) Commanding General. Her operational mobilizations include serving as FORSCOM G-6 Automations Officer, U.S. Special Operations Command Central Base Operations Division Chief (Qatar), Combined Forces Special Operations Component Command – Afghanistan (Kabul), and Deputy Commander / Communications-Integrator-Afghanistan for the 335th Signal Command (Theater) (Provisional) in 2018. In her civilian career, BG Rummel worked with Motorola and The Home Depot before becoming a Department of the Army, Civilian with FORSCOM, where she served as the Cyber Support to Corps and Below (CSCB) Lead and is currently the G-6 Policy and Plans Branch Chief, supporting the strategic execution of the Army Unified Network Plan. BG Rummel holds a BS in Aeronautical Engineering, an MS in Business Administration (Technology Management), and an MS in Strategic Studies. Her military education is highlighted by the Army Cyber Operations Planners Course (ACOPC) and the U.S. Army War College. Her major decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Parachutist Badge, and Singapore Foreign Jump Wings.
