Dr. Hala Strohmier Berry is an award-winning cybersecurity academic leader, researcher, and technology innovator with more than 25 years of experience in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, information technology, and engineering management. She is an Associate Professor of Computer Science and Cybersecurity and serves as the Director of the Cyber Center of Initiatives, Awareness, and AI at the University of South Carolina Aiken, where she leads cybersecurity and AI education initiatives, Cyber and AI-integrated curriculum development, workforce readiness programs, and CAE-CD designation. Prior to joining academia, Dr. Strohmier was the founder of Strohmier Consulting LLC, an award-winning engineering and technology company focused on cybersecurity, governance, and risk management, supporting defense and national security industry and financial sector companies. Her research focuses on AI-enhanced cybersecurity, smart grid and SCADA security, IoT security, and supply chain cybersecurity. She has numerous IEEE and other publications.
