• Jim is a former Federal Inspector General and also served as Deputy Comptroller, Office of Justice Programs (OJP) managing OJP’s, DOJ’s, and DHS’ (at inception) grant portfolios ($30B). • He began his career as a General Accountability Office (GAO) program, and then, financial auditor working on nationally prominent Congressional investigations. He moved to the Department of Housing and Urban Development where he developed and managed its internal control program. In a post-retirement reappointment, he also served as Deputy Director of Financial Management at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) helping the agency regain its unmodified financial statement audit opinion. • Jim holds a BS and MBA in accounting, is a Certified Grants Management Specialist and Certified Internal Control Auditor, is a Vietnam-era U.S. Navy veteran, and is in his 47th year of service to the government.
