Gary Cantrell serves as a Specialist Leader at Deloitte leading program integrity solutions. He brings significant expertise in leading fraud, waste, and abuse prevention, detection and investigation in the Health Sector. Prior to joining Deloitte in 2022, Mr. Cantrell served as the Deputy Inspector General for Investigations at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of Inspector General (OIG) for more than 10 years. In total, Mr. Cantrell served the OIG for more than 25 years in a variety of front line and leadership roles. Mr. Cantrell is the recipient of the Presidential Rank Award for Distinguished Executive in 2021, the DOJ, Health Care Fraud Unit’s Leadership Award in 2019, two Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency awards for Excellence in Information Technology, and numerous HHS OIG awards for excellence.
