U.S. Department of the Interior
Patricia Currier serves as Director of Planning and Performance Management at the U.S. Department of the Interior and also serves as the Department’s Evaluation Officer, Deputy Performance Improvement Officer, and Chief Risk Officer. She leads a high-performing, customer-focused team that helps leaders clarify priorities, communicate goals, and achieve measurable results. Ms. Currier is advancing accountability and organizational performance across Interior by championing outcome-focused planning and evidence-based approaches that connect strategic objectives to program, organizational, and individual performance. Her integrated approach combines performance management, evaluation, risk management, data strategy, planning, and portfolio management to strengthen decision-making and value of public reporting. She leads the Department’s implementation of key federal management requirements under GPRAMA, the Evidence Act, PMIAA, and FAPA, overseeing major Department-wide products including the Strategic Plan, Annual Performance Plans and Reports, Evidence-Building Plans, Workforce Capacity Assessments, Agency Priority Goals, and data-driven leadership reviews. Before joining the Department of the Interior, Ms. Currier held leadership roles at NASA in strategic planning, performance management, process improvement, budgeting, and policy analysis. She earned a Bachelor of Science from Tufts University and both a Master of Science in Management and an MBA from Florida Tech.
