Jessie Kratz
Historian of the National Archives
U.S. National Archives
Jessie Kratz is the Historian of the National Archives. She has been with the agency since 1999, specializing in the history of the National Archives and the American founding. Previously she was on the outreach staff at the Center for Legislative Archives. She currently leads several America 250 initiatives, including the Freedom Plane National Tour and provides outreach on the Declaration of Independence and early America. She is a prolific author on topics related to the National Archives, the founding documents, and the records of Congress. Jessie holds degrees from St. Ambrose University and George Washington University.
