Kate Bell serves as a supervisory auditor at the Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Inspector General where she has led a team of auditors over the Environmental Protection Agency’s Payment Integrity Information Act of 2019 compliance audits for the last two years. With over 16 years of experience in government auditing, Kate specializes in grant and contract performance audits. Before joining the EPA OIG, Kate held roles such as Senior Auditor with the Department of the Interior’s Office of Inspector General where she performed audits related to the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Securities Act and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Kate also assisted with providing training to insular area auditors. Kate holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania and is a Certified Fraud Examiner. Kate is also involved in the Council of Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency’s Federal Audit Executive Council’s Improper Payments Subcommittee.
