Michael Martinez, DSc, serves as the United States Army of the Pacific (USARPAC) G6 Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), directing regional cybersecurity governance, compliance, defensive cyber operations, and international capacity building. His professional philosophy is built on two core tenets: educating others and upholding rigorous standards. With over 20 years of public and private sector IT experience, Dr. Martinez previously secured advanced technology for the US nuclear arsenal at the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, assessed combatant command resiliency against cyber adversaries with the Department of Test and Evaluation, and directed the Air Force Research Laboratory’s premier modeling and simulation laboratory.
