Dr. Rui Li is a Research Assistant Professor and the Manager of the Laboratories for Functional Textiles and Protective Clothing in the Department of Apparel, Events, and Hospitality Management at Iowa State University. He received his Ph.D. degree in Apparel, Merchandising, and Design from Iowa State University. His research focuses on functionality and performance evaluation of textile materials and clothing systems, including testing device development, hazards simulation, and customized assessment tool and protocol development.
