Leslie Browning-Samoni, Ph.D., is an Instructor II in Fashion Merchandising at Texas Christian University, where her teaching and research focus on textiles, textile testing, product development, and advanced textile applications. With more than 20 years of experience in the fashion and textile industry, she brings an industry-informed perspective to workforce development and experiential learning. Her current work emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches that connect textile materials and design with engineering, human performance, and real-world applications. She is collaborating with AFFOA on the development of TACTIC, an interactive workforce-development program designed to prepare learners for the evolving advanced-textiles industry.
