John Nicholson is the Director of Textile Business Development and Training at Gaston College’s Textile Technology Center. He is a graduate of Georgia Tech’s School of Textile Engineering. He has 49 years of experience in the textile industry, domestically and internationally, in yarn manufacturing, weaving, knitting and dyeing and finishing. He was responsible for the erecting, staffing and managing of seven yarn mills during his career. Outside of work, John has been an avid runner for 40 years, beginning on November 4, 1986. He is also the current Community Lay Director for the Sandhills Emmaus Community, located in the Laurinburg, NC area.
