Lynn is the head of the Fiber and Specialty Textile Research Laboratory (FASTR Lab) at the UMaine Advanced Structures & Composites Center and the founder of Luna reFab. A leading expert in circularity and Specialty Fibers and Textiles, her innovative work spans a remarkably diverse spectrum developing advanced fabrications that range from consumer icons like Barbie to specialty fibers and textiles for the DoW, aerospace, and hypersonic industries. Lynn holds a patent for an antimicrobial topical product and directs advanced research and technologies for global industry customers, while Luna reFab leverages her patent-pending, clean-energy needle punch technology to regenerate textile waste into carbon-reduced, zero-water fabrics scaled for commercial industry.
