Robert L. Rosania is Owner & Chief Executive Officer of Ehmke Manufacturing Company, Inc., a U.S. specialty textile and sewn-product manufacturer serving the Defense, Military, Aerospace, Government, and Industrial markets. With more than three decades of experience in engineering, manufacturing, defense contracting, and business leadership, Mr. Rosania brings a practical perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing America’s industrial supply base. Mr. Rosania joined Ehmke in 1993 as a Partner and Plant Manager and subsequently served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing before becoming CEO in 2000. During his tenure, Ehmke has grown twenty-fold and expanded significantly into the Defense, Military, and Aerospace markets. He has extensive experience supporting military and aviation programs, including the development and manufacture of mission-critical textile and sewn-product solutions for the U.S. Government and defense industry. Throughout his career, Mr. Rosania has been actively engaged in advancing American manufacturing and the industrial textile supply base. He has served on the boards of the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI), Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center (DVIRC), Manufacturers Alliance of Philadelphia (MAP), and Enable Sports & Fitness. Mr. Rosania holds professional certifications from IFAI as an Industrial Fabrics Manager and Certified Project Planner. He has testified before U.S. Congressional leaders on issues affecting the industrial textile and military supply base and has taught numerous courses and seminars on Lean Manufacturing, operational excellence, and continuous improvement within the textile industry. He is also a named inventor on two U.S. patents covering methods for ameliorating oil spills in marine and inland waters.
