Ken Milbery is Director and Technical Consultant at Lunada Bay Tile, a Southern California manufacturer of glass and ceramic tile. He also owns Liquid Forensics, a consulting firm specializing in pool tile installation and waterproofing. In addition to providing technical consulting services, Ken serves as an expert witness in matters involving tile installations, waterproofing systems, and aquatic construction. Previously a Building Material Specialist with National Pool Tile, Ken is widely regarded as one of the pool industry’s leading authorities on waterproofing, glass tile installation systems, and building-material technologies. Ken serves as a Genesis/PHTA Faculty Advisor and instructor specializing in tile installation and waterproofing technologies. He also represents PHTA on the Tile Council of North America Handbook Committee and contributed to ANSI/PHTA/ICC-10 2021, the American National Standard for Elevated Pools, Spas, and Other Aquatic Venues Integrated into a Building or Structure. His tile-industry involvement includes service on the Tile Council of North America Handbook Committee, the ANSI A108 Committee, the National Tile Contractors Association Technical Committee, and the U.S. Technical Advisory Group to ISO Technical Committee 189. Through his consulting, teaching, standards development, and technical leadership, Ken advances reliable installation practices and lasting performance across the tile and aquatic industries.
