Eric Fortenberry is Founder and CEO of JobTread, a construction estimating and project management software company, in 2019 after building the first version as CEO of a general contracting company to fix their broken processes. Within one year, the company grew from $5 to $8 million in sales and increased gross profit by 43%. JobTread now helps nearly 14,000 construction companies sell and manage billions of dollars in projects. In 2025, Deloitte named it the 6th fastest growing technology company in North America, and it has been consistently rated the #1 Construction Management and Estimating Software by Software Advice and GetApp. Eric was named the 2024 Emerging Company CEO of the Year by Tech Titans, an EY Entrepreneur of the Year finalist in 2024, 2025, and 2026, and one of Inc. Magazine's 30 Under 30. In 2023, he launched the Builder Stories podcast, and he recently co-authored The Builder's Choice, the #1 Best New Release on Amazon in January 2026. Eric is an Eagle Scout with degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Texas at Dallas. He enjoys traveling with his wife and two children.
