Ms. Carney serves as Vice President of Finance and Analytics at Beth Israel Deaconess Care Organization (BIDCO), a value-based physician and hospital network and Accountable Care Organization (ACO) in Westwood, Massachusetts comprised of eight hospitals and more than 2,700 physicians who cover more than 200,000 Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid lives, and share $1.3 billion in risk revenue. As an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team, she leads the organization’s overall financial and performance analytics operations, working directly with the CEO to set the strategic direction of the organization to ensure BIDCO is delivering the highest quality care in the most cost-effective way. When Ms. Carney arrived at BIDCO in 2013, she established BIDCO’s first-ever Performance Analytics and Medical Economics team to conduct analysis and to deliver critical data-driven insights that inform key clinical strategic decisions that improve quality outcomes, lower costs, and identify opportunities for growth. Jenny and her team’s work has had clear impact on BIDCO’s ongoing success in value-based care. Ms. Carney is a member of the HFMA Financial Analytics Council - Steering Committee, a new visionary affinity group that will bring together financial analytics leaders from hospitals, health systems, physician practices/groups, ACOs and health plans to lead the health care industry in best practices and forward-thinking education and advocacy. Ms. Carney earned her Master of Public Health from University of Massachusetts and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Saint Michael’s College.
