As a member of the healthcare consulting practice, Sharon's primary focus is providing operational performance solutions in the acute healthcare space. She specializes in improving care delivery and efficiency in places where patients are at their most vulnerable, such as hospital emergency rooms and operating rooms. Sharon joined Plante Moran in 2017 after many years of working in a hospital environment as a quality and process improvement leader. She has on-the-ground familiarity with tackling the challenges hospitals and health systems face, such as complying with a world of increased government regulations while dealing with declining reimbursement rates — all as they strive to provide a safe and satisfying patient experience. Sharon has a bachelor’s degree from Northern Michigan University in biology/chemistry/human physiology and an M.B.A. candidate at Walsh College of Business. She is also a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, a GE Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and a GE Certified Master Change Agent.
