Ms. Gay serves as the Associate Vice President of Analytics at Lakeland Regional Health, where she established the health system's analytics division and helped the organization achieve more than $25 million in financial performance improvements over the last five years. Under her leadership, advanced analytics is applied to operations, finance, human resources, quality, safety, and market share information in order to leverage data as a strategic asset. She led the development of the organization’s Enterprise Data Warehouse Bus Architecture, creating process driven dimensional models to span the transition of LRH’s billing system from Siemens to Cerner. Preserving the continuity of data to bridge both the current and legacy systems in the data warehouse empowered LRH to maintain its agility in decision making and data-driven focus toward achieving its goals. Ms. Gay also instituted dedicated analytics consultant support to provide continuous insights, recommendations, and monitoring tools which contributed to a 28.5 percent decrease in central-line infection rates and a 15.2 percent drop in fall rates, along with reduced readmission rates for patients with congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and pneumonia. She is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional and was recently included in Becker’s Hospital Review’s 36 Health IT and Revenue Cycle Up-and-Comers for 2018.
