Ray Ready is the Director of Analytics at Lakeland Regional Health, a large nonprofit community health system, helping improve outcomes and identify efficiencies through advanced analytics. He is also an adjunct professor at Florida Polytechnic, the state of Florida’s newest University, helping to prepare students to provide business value from their first day on the job. Ray has developed innovative analytical solutions to help solve such challenging problems as reducing emergency department throughput to achieve an industry leading arrival to discharge of 3 hours or less for over 80% of our patients. Under Ray’s leadership the analytics division delivered analytics solutions that streamlined the patient discharge process, enhanced charge capture audit, automated physician quality scorecards, improved surgical patient flow, increased nurse hourly rounding compliance and many others. Other notable achievements include leading the development of the health system’s Enterprise Data Warehouse bringing together Clinical EHR, Financial Revenue Cycle, Payroll, Human Resources, Real-time Location Services, Supply Chain, Patient Satisfaction, and Third Party data to provide a foundation to support advanced analytics that deliver tangible business value.
