Steven Boesel is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional with the Google Public Sector Customer Engineering team. As a member of the Google team Steven works across Federal and Tribal Nations in cyber security projects to analyze, design and implement security practices to address the evolving security threat landscape. Steven has worked in the Federal and Tribal Nation community for 25 years in cyber security and data center operations to secure and prevent cyber security related incidents as well as to respond after a beach has been detected. Prior to Google Steven spent 13 years working on Datacenter Modernization at VMware and has supported missions across the public sector community. In addition Steven has worked on identity projects throughout the public sector environment and brings a holistic security perspective to his clients. Steven’s current role at Google is to help customers leverage cloud computing to address cyber security hygiene and to enhance IT performance through their journeys into the cloud. Leveraging his experience across agencies and entities of all sizes allows Steven to provide adaptive advice and consultative approaches to how Tribal Nations can address their cybersecurity hygiene, and implement best practice security programs.
