With more than 25+ years of corporate experience with Procter & Gamble, The Coca-Cola Company and Bristol-Myers Squibb, Brian has led design, packaging development, product design, and creative communications on a regional and global level for several of the world’s most valuable and iconic brands. Brian is passionate about the role design plays in connecting with consumers on an emotional level, while driving business results. Today, Brian serves as the Senior Director of Design & Package Innovation for Georgia-Pacific Consumer Business headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Georgia-Pacific is one of the world's leading makers of tissue, pulp, paper, packaging, building products and related chemicals. As a consumer, you may recognize household brands, such as Brawny® paper towels, Angel Soft® and Quilted Northern® bath tissue, Vanity Fair® napkins and Dixie® branded cups, plates, and livingware. Brian is responsible for overseeing best practices and capability development in the areas of design, design thinking, brand architecture, packaging innovation, and leads the company’s design and packaging organization. Georgia-Pacific's brand building efforts have been recognized across many publications, and design is playing an increasing role since Brian’s arrival. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Graphic Design and Management from the School of Journalism & Graphic Communications at Florida A&M University and holds business management and supervisory certifications from Cornell University and the Center for Creative Leadership. Brian continues to “give back” to his alma mater as a long-standing board member for the School of Journalism & Graphic Communications. Brian is active in the Atlanta design community where he serves as a board member of AIGA Atlanta & Museum of Design Atlanta (MoDA) and enjoys mentoring emerging designers and youth who have interest in design related careers.
