Alex Payne is Technical Director at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a Chartered Mechanical Engineer, heavily involved in delivering many high-profile projects and installations. He has been involved in the development of the UK's ADIPS scheme and Working Groups associated with it. Alex is one of the founder members of the UK's Amusement Device Safety Council, working alongside the national Regulatory Body, the HSE. He is a member of the IAAPA European Safety Committee and represents BALPPA in various capacities, including the Safety Committee, ISO and EN drafting/revisions groups, and producing the national industry safety guidance HSG 175.
