John Ceelen is senior vice president of finance for Froedtert Health. John joined Froedtert Health in October 2016. He oversees system financial operations and provides support to the three inpatient campuses of Froedtert Health: Froedtert Hospital, Community Memorial Hospital and St. Joseph’s Hospital. John plays a key role in the development and analysis of business opportunities, capital planning, business plan development and target setting for the hospitals. He joins Froedtert Health from Ministry Health Care where he served in a variety of roles in strategy, finance and business development for more than 25 years, most recently as system vice president of strategy/business development. He helped grow Ministry Health Care to be a 17-hospital, 650-provider health system throughout northern Wisconsin. John is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He is a founding board member of Progressive Community Health Centers, the federally qualified health center in Milwaukee with which Froedtert Health partners. John received Bachelor's degrees in finance, economics and accounting and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
