Korin Reid, PhD
Principal Data Scientist
Craneware

Dr. Korin Reid earned her PhD in Chemical Engineering with a research focus on leveraging Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Optimization modelling to determine cost effective means of producing bio-diesel in the Southeastern United States. In the healthcare space, Dr. Reid has conducted research that leveraged mathematical modelling to predict blood glucose for type II diabetic patients using noninvasive inputs such as nutrition and a variety of activity variables. In addition, Dr. Reid has also built innovative AI models geared toward improving the quality and efficiency of healthcare that have been embedded in solutions that have reached more than 160 million covered lives. For this work, Dr. Reid was named one for Forbes Magazine’s “30 under 30” in the Science category in 2017. At Craneware, Dr. Reid works on developing AI solutions to help improve revenue cycle outcomes and operational efficiencies while improving population health. Dr. Reid is also passionate about STEM outreach, and volunteers her time teaching students about the opportunities available in STEM careers, particularly those from underrepresented groups. Dr. Reid is currently represented by Don Cogdon and associates and is currently writing a book on Data Science and Artificial Intelligence targeted toward high school and middle school aged girls.
